There’s nothing more depressing then seeing a winter jacket when the weather is 15 degrees plus!
The first step to spring cleaning is storing away all of your winter gear, neatly of course!
Storing your Winter Jacket
This can be done in many ways, it’s all up to personal preference. If you have the luxury of a storage area in your basement, purchase a rolling rack and store all of your winter jackets there. If not, try a flat under the bed storage bin. What ever the case may be, just get those winter jackets out of sight!
Storing your Winter Boots
The next item of business is your bulky winter boots. These take up so much room in the closet and front door.
You need to make space for sandals, and runners, so put those winter boots in storage! A shoe rack in your basement or garage is the perfect solution. If you don’t have this luxury, purchase shoe boxes and stick them under the bed or store them neatly in your closet.
Storing Winter Accessories
Now that you’ve stored your jacket and boots, you need to put away your scarves, hats, gloves, etc. An easy storage solution for these items is purchasing a fabric or plastic box and storing the items in there.
Keep it organized by having one box for scarves, one for hats, one for gloves, etc. These boxes are easy to place on the top shelf of your linen closet. Fancy fabric boxes are also a good design look for when you have people over!
